Q: What types of Insurance does Dr. Judy
accept?
A: As a service to you, Dr. Judy accepts most
traditional insurance plans that allow you to
choose your provider. If you are unsure of your
coverage limitations please mention it while
making your appointment, we will be happy to
contact your insurance carrier and verify your
coverage.Our office will submit charges for
services to your insurance company. We do
consider the patient primarily responsible for
the full amount. When payment of insurance
claims is assigned to us, the patient's co-pay
is due at the time of service.
If payment at time of service is not
possible, we will make specific financial
arrangements with you. For your convenience,
major credit cards are accepted (MasterCard,
Visa, Discover and American Express.) We also offer Care Credit
to those in need of long term financial
arrangements.

Is Dr. Judy a Delta Dentist?
A: Dr. Judy is a Delta Premier Dentist and
follows all agreements and criteria associated
with that membership.
Q: When are co-pays
due?
A: All co-pays are expected and due at the
time of service. If you need to make alternate
financial arrangements, please contact our
business office at 419-476-0225 prior to your
appointment.
Q: What is a composite filling?
A: A composite resin filling (also known as
a white filling) is a tooth-colored plastic
mixture filled with glass (silicon dioxide) and
is a composite quartz resin which is hardened
using a light. Composite fillings tend to be used as an
alternative to metal, or silver amalgam,
fillings and are used to treat decay on a
portion of a tooth, replace an old silver
amalgam filling and to maintain a white smile.
Q: What is a amalgam filling?
A: Also called silver filling restoration or
alloy restoration. Dental amalgam is a mixture
or alloy of metals, including mercury, which is
combined to form a soft and silvery looking
paste which hardens on setting. It is used for
the restoration of the form and function of
teeth, and is made up of various metals such as
silver, tin, copper, and sometimes zinc. This process has been used for dental filling
for decades.
Q: Does Dr. Judy perform
extractions and can he put me to sleep?
A: Dr. Judy performs simple extractions.
Oral Surgeons are recommended on a case by case
basis or when necessary. Dr. Judy has a number
of Oral Surgeons he has business relationships
with and feels comfortable recommending.For
the comfort of his patients, Dr. Judy can
provide local anesthesia and nitrous oxide. He
does not however, provide general anesthesia.
Q: Does Dr. Judy accept welfare insurance?
A: Not at this time.
Q: At what age
should our children be seen by Dr. Judy?
A: Dr. Judy agrees with the guidelines set
by the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry
which recommends seeing a dentist when the first
tooth appears, or no later then his/her first
birthday. Although Dr. Judy is pleased to see
children of all ages, there are times when a
pediatric dentist may be referred.

Does Dr. Judy give senior citizen discounts?
A: Seniors who do not have insurance and are
able to pay at the time of service with cash or
a check are entitled to a discount.
Q:
Does Dr. Judy do all fillings or does he employ
an expanded functions assistant?
A: Dr. Judy prefers to do all of his own
fillings and does not employ an Expanded
Functions Dental Assistant.
Q: Does Dr. Judy have evening hours or
weekend appointments?
A: Dr. Judy's office is open:
Monday & Thursday: 9:00am - 7:00pm
Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday: Closed most Wednesdays, call for
available openings
Friday: 9:00am - 2:30pm
Saturday: One per month, call for available
openings
